How does a business know their Fire Extinguisher requirements?

We recommend scheduling a consultation with Diamond Fire Extinguishers.  During that visit we will outline the number, type and location of required extinguishers.  All recommendations follow the strict guidelines of the NFPA 10.

What is the NFPA 10?

NFPA 10 is the nationally recognized standard that governs the selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers. Its importance lies in ensuring that fire extinguishers are reliable, accessible, and ready to perform when a fire emergency occurs. 

How often do extinguishers need to be inspected?
Most extinguishers (ABC and K types) need to inspected once yearly.  At Diamond Fire Extinguishers we keep you on a schedule by dropping in during the same month each year.  You can request a call ahead of our arrival time if needed.
